Hi guys, I am Cali Yang from MAXKGO TEAM, you can also find me on facebook, I just came to this place. So I need to know some news, can anyone help me?
😀

I'm very happy to see more VESC compatible BMS on the market, do you have a charge only BMS that is VESC compatible? I doesn't look like your charge only BMS is. I think that would be really valuable since you can save a lot of weight, complexity, and cost that way while still having nice integration and cell monitoring. Honestly the complete BMSs don't interest me as they are so much more expensive than a non-VESC compatible BMS that just the VESC integration is not worth that much.

Hi,We currently do not have VESC-compatible only charge bms, but they are under development.

Yes, if your battery pack is not expensive, there is no need to use this level of VESC-compatible smart BMS, because you can just replace the battery pack when it breaks. Unless you want to build a monster-powered vehicle, or an electric surfboard

That depends, if the quality of your hardware and software is as good as the price than it may be worth it for some builds but we'll have to see, the last BMS I bought was a 200A 24S max LTT model and they are $82, so far I've only seen positive reviews from those LTT BMS, comes with bluetooth and a pretty decent app, customer support was very good, documentation could be better, build quality looks very good.

Your equivalent is $223 which has some nice additional advantages. Like the VESC connection, the screen, the pre-charge system and it looks smaller but also not flat so that depends where you are trying to put it. For some that is worth it but for many that's just too much. Now your build quality may be better, a few things look better like the solid style terminal connections and the fuse holder is nice but it's still a lot more money.

Now a charge only BMS with VESC you get the VESC connection, a lot less wiring, less system resistance, much smaller and lighter weight and at $88 it's the same as a classic BMS for the needed current cost wise. One less level of redundency but seems worth it for some applications.

I don't mean to be overly critical I'm just giving you my honest feedback as a customer (and as an experienced product developer). The best advice I can give you if you want to sell a lot of these is to be very interactive and supportive in these communities, I've seen it time and time again if you want to sell high end products in a DIY oriented field you need to have top notch support in addition to a product that is better in every way than your cheaper competition.

Thank you for your advice. It makes me think and learn a lot.
