Brushless dual 6kw ALIEN Power system - electric longboard

Hi guys. Can you please help me with my set up. I have homemade 25inches longboard deck with 70mm wheels.
I would like it to go between 20 and 25 mph for at least 5 miles. what set up should i order?
Is these one ok?
6S 5000mAh battery
6354-260kv motor (it is 8s-10s...is it a problem if i run it on 6s???)
150A esc
35t timing belt pulley on the wheel
15t timing belt pulley on the motor

Do you have any better suggestion for my set up??

Thanks!

@janjan1212 - You'll need to find a motor mount either create your own and/or checkout Alien's Bolt On Kits or I also sell welded motor mounts with Paris trucks in my signature below.

For a 20-25mph and 5mile setup. I would go with buying equipment from HobbyKing as HK is a lot cheaper than most places. Checkout my main 6S setup guide that will reach 20-25mph - http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=56375. You can find the main drive train setup on there as well.

I'd go with the (2) 3S 5000mah, 6354mm SK3 motors, EZRun Pro 150A and a 14T/40T drive train setup as it's the most simple/easiest to do on your own if you are trying to save money.

As Torqueboards said 2 x 3S wired up in series will probably be easier since your board is fairly low profile (due to small wheels and lack of risers.

I've been with my Hobby King 150A ESCs which are much cheaper than the EZ Run (here at least) though I'd probably go the EZ Run if the prices were very close.

If you want to ensure range and don't have much in the way of hills to deal with I'd stick with 15T/36T setups (35T is a non standard size). I prefer not to go below 15T because it allows you to go as short as possible on the belt while retaining sufficient belt wrap. 14T and less you are below spec. Shorter belts mean a lot less slip at lower pretension making it kinder on bearings, belts and the feel is just a little crisper.

The 36T will mean you top out at 31km/hr (19.3MPH) with 260kv motor and 6S. Going more than 6S will make add a bit to your budget as ESCs are pricier above 6S and of course the extra battery cost. If you got to 30T (what I run but with 190 or 210kv motors) this will give you a top speed about 37km/h (23MPH) BUT I would stick with the slower 36T option. It will give you more climbing ability, make take off a little smoother and I think you will find closer to 20MPH more pleasurable on such small wheels.

Yes, the 8-10S motors will be fine on 6S.

Make sure your batteries are 30C minimum especially from Hobby King - partly because you need the high current uphill and partly because cheaper batteries tend to overstate their C rating.

Just a thought I would post an update of my board, it only needs the one small red switch and and bullet laptop like charger because of the awsome PCB I'm using a custom 3x 2s battery witch gives me a massive clearance even with the flex. All in all an almost finished board.

Got to admit. That battery management system is awesome! Great work alien. That much closer to the DIY eboards becoming more "production" like.

Jacob deal with the BMS, so thanks to him..

The board doesnt hit the motors when when it flexes? how much do you weigh? and what distance do you get with those batteries?

It's a custom BMS/PCB that we use to handle the current and it gives it the ability to cut off the power with any 3 amp 12v switch.

I have no board flex problems as the trucks change angle as the board flexes so it changed the angle of the motors too, I'm 90kg I get about 10km rang with the 5amp battery. But I go up hill here and there.

Will you guys make it available to buy any time soon?

Just finishing up some testing but yes, we just need to get a larger order to get the price down. Any one interested please let us know!

I think a lot of people would be interested in this. I certainly am. What are the main features of the product?

Easy plug and play charging
Cell balancing
Low voltage cutoff
Small conservative on/off switch

We can do flat battery packs, it is actually better to do it with the Bms
We can do it 3 cell wide and 3 cell high or 2 cell high and 4 cell high that is including the Bms

So you won't do it with the 7s one that has been marked with "coming soon" on Bruno's site for a while?

Yes we can im just saying that the size can be different so I think that Bruno has 2x 3 cell packs next to each other and one cell in the middle to make up 7s but it's basically 4 cell high or 38mm h 10mm w 148mm l. Or we can order 3 wide and make it 28mm h 148mm w 148mm l.

Also - out soon . The Seismic speed vent drive hub adapters should be available very soon ..
Can not wait! Also beetbocks cases are great I love them on my board, they have a great finish fit every thing nicely butting together my second board ATM and loving it.
