A friend and I biked up Burnaby mountain recently, he has a dual motor bike, 2 48v 17A controllers -brushless motors with lead acid batteries. My bike struggled with 2 36v 15A controllers & brushless motors. It was an interesting test. His motors were only slightly warm, mine were a bit warmer. Lots of juice left to make it home. 14AH Packs * 2.

I am working on a 36v 35A brushed dual motor bike to see the freewheeling speed, dual 36v lead acid packs. Just laced up the hub to a double wall rim and painted the hub motor flat black.

Should be an interesting project.

When I was a kid I would ride alot on burnaby moutain with my BMX before any of the present trails existed. Since I moved back to the neighborhood 5 years ago I have only ridden up there a few times, a bit of a shame since my front door is about 500 meters from the trails at the end of north road.

Small amps with a good amount of volts.. sounds perfect for dual motors. So you don't have any weirdness at certain rpm or throttle?
