Does anyone know a way to bypass the PAS system w/o having to buy a new controller? Recently i converted a canadale
Over to a ebike with a bafang pas system. In the process, the wires from the pas hub we're pulled out. And actually I wanted to convert it into a reg ebike w/o the pas . Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Tell us more about what components you're working with, pictures would help.. a link to the kit you bought would be more helpful.

if the controller has a throttle connector, you'd just connect a throttle to that, and then change any settings in the display (or setup software if the controller comes with that) required to enable it. (there usually aren't any; it would just work as long as you are in the right assist mode for that system to allow throttle).

Some systems with PAS, even with a throttle attached, may require you to pedal (with the PAS working) to allow the throttle to operate, for legal reasons in some localities.

If it doesn't have a throttle connector, you're probably going to have to replace the controller and display with a set that does have a throttle connector.

Note that if wiring was damaged while power was connected / on, it's possible the controller doesn't work anymore anyway, since at minimum the 5v power could've shorted to ground and damaged the 5v regulator inside the controller. If it had 10V (or higher) available on the PAS for a torque sensor, etc., then that could short to lower voltages and do even more damage, to the actual MCU itself, etc.
