I'm sure I've got other problems but this one is strange. The Cycle Analyst lights up when I flip my bike's power on. But there's no display. The CA was left unconnected for a month or two, but I didn't think that mattered.

What do you think?

If there's less than about 15V input (by default) then the MCU is in standby/shutdown mode.

If the bike was left sitting with any power drain on the pack for a month, it might have drained it that low, but if the CA wasn't connected I'd expect neither was anything else (but the BMS might still drain a pack, depending on design).

I had the battery disconnected, and infrequently topped off. So the CA was completely without battery. The battery voltage is 80v+ but I haven't tested the power headed to the CA yet.

No, the backlight is present as long as there is enough current (tiny amount) flowing thru the CA's power regulator itself to light up the LEDs. Even without enough voltage to turn on the CA, it'll still be backlit.
