I apologize for the pretty crappy pictures, but I think you will get the idea. This solution does require a tripod, but I recommend using one that's as cheap as you can find because you do have to put some tension on the legs with the bands. I think this one cost less than $20 new. I'm sure if you look around you can find one used for much less. This worked out really well, because the camera sits right under my chin so it gave pretty much the exact perspective that I had on my ride.....I think next time I would tilt it up just a little more, but I am really pleased with the results. Oh yeah....if you decide to do this there will likely be a long threaded handle for the tilt and side to side adjustment on the tripod. It will be in the way when you try and mount it. I just unscrewed the handle and found a good long screw with the same threads and swapped it out for the handle.
