I finally bought a CBA-II for higher current tests. I will try to mod it to handle more than 40A.

But 40A seems very appropriate for the most people that use ebike here.

combined with my Megapower battery charger/analyzer, that will be great to test cells 8)

but there is only one last thing i'm watching on ebay: an ELECTRONIC LOAD under 250$ and able to handle 80A

it's a kind of discharger but it first goal is to allow a load with constant current.

You get all the cool toys

Couldn't you make a load from a brushed motor controller and some of those really big resistors you have? A CA in the current limiting mode could control the throttle and the LVC.

If you need bigger resistors, you might parallel a few electric heaters.

Thanks for the info Fechter, I already have all big resistor i need!

from 0.1ohm 2kW to adjustable 10 ohm 3kW
