Cheapest 30+ MPH Hub Motor Build?

I've changed my mind again lol. I think the 48V 10Ah Ping battery would be better. Then if I ever wanted to go faster I could add a 24V 10Ah Ping battery or even bigger Ping. The Samsung don't have smaller voltage with the same Ah so it would be harder to use them in series.

This will be cheaper too

Good luck with the build, but remember you are limited to 15mph by UK/EU legislation so just keep your eyes open or speed down when on public roads.

I recently completed my build which sounds exactly what you are looking for.
all the kit was from BMS Battery
500W BPM rear motor kit with 48V 10A 3.5Kg battery pack
28mph on the flat no pedalling
total cost £440 for all the kit inc lots of extras + £70 for quality mountain bike from ebay
that's about half your budget...!
search this forum for: new stealthy-ish project
any questions please ask
good luck

Not when you ruin your 10ah ping. It's just not designed for 25A controllers. Even 20A controllers would be pushing a 10Ah ping. Pings are 1C battery packs with 2C max. Stated life cycles is based on <1c discharge rate. Running it at 2.5C with a 25A controller will not be good.
