Converting a samurai

I have a geared down rock crawler want to convert to electric as easy as possible. Should just be able to pull the motor and hook something directly to the transmission. Any suggestions on what motor would be best, not worried about going fast at all since it's has a massive gear reduction was thinking about not needing a super powerful motor.

If you put your conditions, gearing, wheelsize, etc into the ebikes.ca motor simulator, it'll help you figure out how much power you need to do what you want. you can also use the info to figure out the battery capacity and capability you'll need.
