Sorry to hear about your wipe! How are you feeling today? In my experience, pain is the best teacher!

And in this case, I'm thinking the lesson may be that nobbies, while ok in crunchy snow, are no subsitution for studded tires!
 
Really slippery today coming in with thin snow layer over hard ice :roll: I had to pay attention to turns. My s :mrgreen: tudded tires would slide a bit and catch
 
Just one camera. I put it on a rock or something and did a drive by. I thought this would be my only chance, it's supposed to get warmer this weekend.

My bike gets washed when it rains! It hasn't rained for a while...

Around noon. Mostly melted by then. The rain was actually ice melting from the trees.
 
No school fpr my son so I got an early start. Crashed in the dark on a reversed bank curve on the trail. My pedal scraped the ice off the asphalt :shock: went back home and got the bike with studded tires. No problem then. I was surprised that there was ice with temperatures above freezing. Lots of branches weighed down and one tree had fallen.
 
Yep. I had the same yesterday on the CC trail. I did not attempt the berm though :mrgreen:
