My latest build, which I decided to make a lot more light weight / stealth / low power / efficient than my first (https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=71797). I started with a stock Cruzbike Quest, and added a Cute 100H motor with 36V 10Ah LiFePO4 battery and tiny S06S controller all from bmsbattery.com. I laced up the wheel and resoldered plugs to fit the throttle I had, refitted the rear brake with a 180mm rotor and adapter, filed out the dropouts, etc. I also added Radical Design side bags like on my other one, which can carry an enormous amount, putting the weight low and in the center where you want it.

Overall I'm very happy with it. The electric components add 11-12 lbs, putting the whole bike at about 45 lbs. The motor is very small and quiet (about the same size as the geared human powered hub in the front, and quiet enough that I haven't managed to hear it, even close up, unless I'm the one riding. So far I've not been able to test the range of it, but I imagine with 50% pedaling it's well over 50 miles, as that's about the range of my higher power similar bike (though that one does have more WH with a 10Ah 48V pack).

Here's the before picture:

And here's the ebike after a test ride up Twin Peaks in San Francisco

Looks efficient :) ,always wondered,do you ever get a sore neck in that position?

Not with the other one, but this one has a lower seat angle, so maybe slightly on longer rides. It'd be nice to have a head rest, but it hasn't bothered me enough to look into actually getting one.

It's only 3 to 5% grade. Unfortunately I can't tell you how many amps or anything useful because this time I went for the super cheap proprietary Chinese cycle computer that doesn't show battery voltage, amps, or watts :-[. I just know the controller's maximum is 17 amps.
