Hi all,

Looked for similar threads for guidance but couldn't find anything..

Have built a cargo bike from scratch and was excited to install the Cycle analyst V3, with the E-rider torque sensing BB.

Running a:
Bafang G060 750W geared rear motor
JYT - YCSV controller
13s 1p EIG 20aH cell battery (thanks @jimbob01 )

Connected everything up, fired up the CA.
- Inputted the wheel size, the no. of poles (6? Think this is correct).
- Selected the E-rider as the type of PAS.
- Inputted the battery aH, string length and battery chemistry

I had to solder a different connector type for the throttle input on the CA, changing to the waterproof type.

The throttle looks to be working , I can see the graphic show the throttle status change on the main display.

The PAS seems to also be functioning as you can see the amount of HWatts or human watts in on the main display when you pedal.

However, the motor doesn't function at all from PAS or throttle input?!

I've taken the motor apart, checked continuity between the connector plug and all three phase wires and all hall sensors and all were healthy. Shorted the phase connections and the motor wouldn't turn and turned freely when they weren't shorted. So all seems to be ok?

The main display is showing something crazy like 140aH which doesn't make sense, the only thing I haven't done is input the rshunt value?

Can anyone help? Do you know if this controller and the CA are compatible?

Thanks in advance!

The ca is compatible with any controller that responds to a throttle signal.

If your controller requires PAS input for hte throttle to work, then you would have to simulate the PAS input to get it to do anything, or feed it a separate actual PAS input of the specific type that it requires.

If your contorller requires it's display to be attached and powered on and an assist mode to be selected that includes throttle operation for it to respond to a thorttle, then you'd have to do that.

Does the CA output an actual throttle voltage, as measured with a multimeter? Does the controller receive that voltage on it's throttle input?

If you connect the htrottle directly to the controller, does it respond to it? (if not, then either the controller requires additional parts, signals, etc, or something is wrong with it).

Have you run any setup programs the ocntroller has to make sure it is correctly setup for your motor and system? (if it's an FOC controller it almost certainly requires this to be done)

Hey guys, update.. bought a grin baserunner and have connected everything up. It works! Sort of..

Speedo works, the PAS is showing RPMs and HWatts correctly, throttle works but when applied the Speedo shows crazy speeds and then when removed goes back to normal.

The PAS isn't giving any assist, have read through the manual and I think I've set it up correctly. Have checked all connections and they're all good.. I've attached my CA settings. Can anyone assist?

Thanks!

OK, so i've realised the MF switch was configured incorrectly and is Aux D not Aux A. Rectified this and the PAS worked, again showing crazy speeds and the hW is showing more than my little legs are humanly able to deliver!

The PAS then stopped working, any ideas?

Thanks

Looks like there are 2 Erider configs. One for "Erider_T9" and the other for "Erider". Have you tried both configs?

Also, does PAS stop working above 50 RPM? Your Assist Scale Factor may be too high.
