Discharge from the charge port

I would like to discharge a battery pack to storage voltage from the charging port.

I'm respecting the cable max current so I won't exceed the charge current rating when discharging.

I think it's a BMS with separate C and P.
So I guess I'm missing out the low voltage threshold shutdown but I don't care as I will monitor the discharge manually.

Anything else I'm missing?

Why just discharge thru discharge wires with a hairdyer at 750watts to 1500 watts . What kind of battery important. Lipo4 lipo ect. For how long. As you my need to disconnect the BMS important
Or more info about battery.

Since the FETs will be operating in reverse acting as diodes, they'll be heating up a lot more than they would when charging.

As you note, you'll be bypassing all the safeties by doing this.

Is there a specific reason you want to risk damaging the BMS and battery by using the wrong port?

It takes me a fair amount of work and disassembly to reach the discharge port. I wanted to make it easy by discharging from the charging port.
Sounds like it's a bad idea. I don't want to risk the bms.
