DIY 10kW motor

I ran across this DIY motor!
If i understand the videos right the stator is made by cutting pieces from transformer sheets and gluing them together.

He also says
cost: $400 (motor+controller)
Expenses: $720

I do not get it,
but anyway very interesting and it works!

As far I know, they have salaries comparable to China in Ukraine.
We can ask him about producing them in quantity?

I was searching through my old posts, and noticed this thread. So I visited his site, and it turns out that just the other day he made a video about a new version.

Not as homemade anymore, since he had the laminations laser cut. But interesting/educational none the less.
