Lol. If u stole my bike, motor wouldn't last long on your hills :)

I tried not to go too fast by him and kept some distance but I'm sure he was wondering what was that :)

Yeah, I only have silver edition so I'm using max settings which is 16:9 I think. I think my editor is defaulting to that also.

Also, summer is approaching. I ordered some ferrofluid. Curious how it will do.

The only thing that lasts on my hills is my motor :(

If I can only get everything else to keep up with what it can do continuously.... I only need the ca for throttle taming but will consider it's importance now that I have connected my 3 way switch.

Been on vacation for a week with in-laws in Texas. We rented a beach house and all I can think about is wish I had my electric bike to ride on the beach :)

Next time drive instead of flying and you should bring your bike. Would love to see video riding that beach.

Yeah, we have a beach a few hours from here. So may take it there this year. Always wanted to do it.

When I got back, my statorade was in the mail.

Let us know how you like the Stator Aid. I have 75CC of Ferro Tech APG1110 on the way. Going to try it when I mount my TC3065 to my Fighter.

Will do. Going to drop it in this weekend. Only thing worried about is that it might add some rubbing noise from what cowardlyduck said happened. I have that rust protector stuff on there also so not much room. Will see.

...and pic from my ride today

For this ride, I drove couple hours to a mountain. We have a few around here if I drive that far. Wanted to test out the statorade. It seemed a little better. I wouldn't say it was dramatic. Again, I was climbing a mountain though and trails were littered with rocks. I was using the throttle pretty hard. I hit 127c and took a break when I saw that. So had a take a few short breaks while on the trails. Towards the end, I got on the gravel road. I started from the bottom and went straight to top without stopping. I hit 120c and didn't go past that. Still working on a few videos.

Sorry, haven't posted in awhile. Been so busy at work last 2 months. Should slow down next month.

Thanks for tip John. Yes, bike was a little dirty from that ride.

No worries Drew, we all got lives outside of our ebike passion. Glad you are still around, I was wondering why so quiet. Should have my Alpha going this week. Just got a couple of more things to do. Beta is waiting on batteries from HK and front fork's new seals to come in.

Nice bike. How heavy is with that big hubmotor ? Can you peddle if the batter goes flat ?

The hub motor is exactly 20 pounds according to my bathroom scale. Surprisingly, even though the motor has a 45mm wide stator, eddy resistance affect is minimal and pedals easier than one would think.

Thanks Rix. Can't wait to see your steeds. I think everyone has been waiting for you :)

Taking notes from both of your builds!

I weighed my bike at one point in this thread. It was around 98lb.

I also posted how my battery ran out of juice at one point and had to pedal home. It was only 1 mile but nearly died. I found the resistance of direct drive difficult and overall weight. If any further, I would have stashed my bike and got my car.

I'm actually thinking very hard about getting the beta. I do need a light version of this bike.

How does that weight and peddling ability compare to your other high power bike the AFT mid drive ?

It does make a difference. One part I really miss about the mid drive was that it was lighter, easier to pedal (little resistance in motor), and central weight. It really helps on the single track. The handling is so much better. I just can't stand the noise and maintenance that comes with mid drive. I'm preferring the direct drive because of these two for now.

Sweet Drew, I like the scenery
+1 nice pics Drew, waiting patiently for your vids :D

Thanks Rix and Ian! Here is a vid I put together. I did this ride on mountain couple hours from where I live. It's mainly on ATV trails which I never done before. It was too bumpy at several points so did my best to put the smoothest parts together. There is part 2 of this where I'm riding on the road that is parallel to the trail.
