Dualtron Togo overheating

Recently bought this model for daily commute, it has a built in overheating protection and inside hub sensor. frequently overheats after a steep hill climb around 1 km length, i would like to take your advice if any mod is possible to enhance heat dissipation other than opting for statorade.

i see hub sinks for bicycle hubs attached to the perimeter but obviously this is not an option for scooter hubs.

did anyone ever experimented with attaching some general aluminium heat sink material or a custom designed solution to a scooter hub shells at each side and get any results ?

While you could put fins of some type on the shell, they won't do much of anything to cool the motor off if you don't also have a better way to get the heat from the motor itself to the shell.

If you don't have debris problems, you could ventilate the motor and add something to force air thru it.

Otherwise you'll probably need some form of liquid in the motor (statorade/ferrofluid or one of the various other solutions tested in various threads over the years).

thanks for the reply amber. i asked earlier in another post , what if we only use low viscosity oil in the chamber without ferritic steel particles? couldnt we achieve somwhat reasonable performance with only centifugal force puhing oil around the magnets on rotor during rides?

There are threads around the forum with experimental data to answer that, especially in ones like Justin_LE's heating and cooling of hubmotors.
