i REALIZE THIS list is old and I took LOTS of time to reply, but I never did say thank you for letting me know HPC does not really match the brakes to performance of bicycle.......hmmm what kinda bikes are shown on the stealth bomber website (DOUBLE cooling holes MULTI pot)? I think I NEED those!!!!!full-throttle said:So-sokorpin said:.are those brakes in photo good or just so-so brakes?

Just got 24 fet methods controller had to buy special packs for room left over.
By the way love the new side panels

Ill try and mount the controller inside but it will need to be on its side. Yes Dimpirate the side panels do look good. Hope to have the bike back together on Friday and will post some pics after I've installed the controller.
What do you mean when you said you had to buy special packs for room left over. I'm thinking battery.
36 fet. Yes Zombies controllerdimpirate said:
From your battery pack pictures it looks like controller might fit in, it'll be close, you might have to do a little pack splitting hopefully not!
Reason i had to get special packs is because Methods controllers top voltage is 100V and that's how much it's gonna get... So I can only use 4S 6S and 8S lipo combos. 5S is actually most ideal in measurements for phasor frame, just forces me to loose V to not hit controller limit.
6S, like I believe you realized when first building is usually a bit to wide for frame so that fumbled my plans up a bit.
Anyways let me shorten thsis up
zippy compact 8S 5.8Ah packs are the best option of very few to reach 24S4P goal. Packs should be on there way  placement will be like in pic each paper is 2 packs side by side. 12 total ( better than 16) and 3.2 Ah more than I originally planned for. Cool!
Is that 24 or 36 fet?
Zombies?
Are you going to be increasing voltage?
Cromotor to?![]()
Rix said:For the KISS factor, mounting the controller on the outside of the frame where the air can cool it seems ideal. I know that Kepler has had phenominal results with internally mounting his controllers on the inside of his Fighter and Dh Paule's Bomber, but if I recall correctly, he had to remove the controller cases for the install so he could use the frame as a heat sink. Is there a warranty concern? Of course, the folks on this forum for the most part are concerned about performance and will do mods that would void a warranty if it means more acceleration and speed. I guess my point is moot. This is the beuty of the Phasor, having the freedom of choices to do whatever the builder wants.

Methods assured me I wouldn't even need to heat sink to frame, that cromotor would melt before controller gets started warming up .
I'd Imagine Rodney's controller doesn't need to heat sink either. Right?

Dimpirate, you misunderstood me, if you did heat sink the controller to the frame, you have to remove the controller case so the controller is in direct contact with the frame. With the controller in its case, the case is the "heat sink" instead of the frame so you don't have to worry about heatsinking. I appologize for the confusion![]()
Rick
just wondering if the pcb in the heat sink case would fit in the frame on its own, is it 95mm inside dimension? it may be just enough, the pcb may be able to just fit. but if its easy enough for you to mount it all in there with the case on you might as well. hope its working out well in any case, peacedimpirate said:These controllers are wider than frame so outside placement is awkward, ugly.
