When your rear suspention is fully compressed, does the bottom of your seat post hit the rc4 adjuster fitting? I was going to buy a fox rc4 9.5x3 500lb spring, but I see u had to mount it upsidedown to get it to fit, which appears to have created clearance issues...??? Can u discuss?

Also, are the spacers on your rc4 22mm? If so, did it all fit well?

8) thanks

Hey Deutch, I've checked the clearance and had my young fellow make a small video. Its not the best but will loosen the spring and give it another go as i couldn't get it fully compressed. I haven't had an issue provided the seat post doesn't protrude past the frame. Another tip with the seat post. I couldn't stop it from moving, couldn't get it tight. I cut the front of the frame. I used an angle grinder with a cutting disc. Proberly best with a hacksaw unless competent, need to say this as I'm a trainer/assessor. The clamp covers the cut i made on frame so no big deal. See pick below. This was the only way I could get it to stay tight.

I used the 25mm spacers but needed to file them 1.5 ml each side. I installed them then found that they wouldn't fit. It's soft alloy and easy to file.

Hope this helps Rod.

Just been for another ride and videoed. Not sure if I'm going to post as its the same stuff, but the controller and the motor seem to be handling the heat well providing its not gusty otherwise Amps rise. Having trouble getting over 90. Today 89, average speed 42kms an hour.

Hello Rod, just watched your weekend ride video. I am in the wrong country. Beutiful. Also, thanks for posting the vid about the shock cartridge reservoir clearance. I had questioned that myself and from what I can tell on your vid, as long as the seat post doesn't extend to far below the tube, clearance is not an issue at all. Even if the tube was extended a little farther than it currently is, It looks like under compression the travel of the shock would clear the post anyway because of the forward movement of the reservoir. When you gonna have that 5305 on?

Hi Rix

I sent it to Sydney to have it laced into a rim. Hope to have it back In a couple of weeks. I'm keen to see it in action as well.

SLOW here.. I have a list now of what I want to buy just pricing things out and trying to make sure
I understand everything. Also where I live Winter is fast approaching so while I still get out to ride it's
not as enjoyable as when the weather is nice.

I did get my HT now I need to get it shipped somewhere to build out some tires and just start buying
things.

Still you have done an awesome job keeping us updated on yours thanks.

David Pearce also sent me a component list so mulling that over as well. If you have a phasor and did not get
that from him I can forward or hit him up directly. It's helping me make some decisions.

Planning on going for a ride along the coast tonite. Just fitted my ion video with bracket to bike.

Plan changed ride to Mirraboka to pick up van. Video up loading will post when finished.

Phasor just about clicked over to 1000 kms

You're riding quite conservatively I see Rodney! I typically have figures like 30 Wh/km on my Cell_Man special... For me, typical average speeds are about 35 km/h and top speeds are about 50 km/h, but I only have about 600 Wh to play with.

Looking forward to our ride coming up. I hope to have my battery finished by then, so if anyone needs a 1.25 kWh pack I'm your man :)

Update on the job front - I have been extended another 2 weeks. My supervisor decided to retire, effective immediately. So while the shit hits the fan, I have some time for the head of school to scheme something... Interesting times.

When I ride to work 47 kilometre round trip I need to ride conservative. But with the high speed it's easy to maintain 40kms per hour and still pedal. It interesting having that top speed of 90 and at 40, even 50 the controller will be only drawing 3/4 amps depending on how much effort I'm putting in. At 90 it's drawing the full 50 amps.

Just had a ride to work and back to show the boys on shift the bike.

One came back with the EV grin.

Hope to get my 5305 back from gloworm cycles, sent it there to get it laced into a Felocity black rim. This finishes it off now "Ohzee". This motor will be better suited when the temp reaches 40.

Just had a 60 kilometre ride into the city and back via the freeway. The weathers starting to warm up 31 today. Had a car honk their horn at me, I wasn't doing anything wrong, i was sticking to the edge-1/2 meter from the edge. All I can put it down to was slowing her down. I'd been riding conservative up till now. Gave the Phasor some throttle and caught her up at the lights.

Got a mouth full of abuse, something about a death wish. I powered off infront when the lights changed, I think this added more to her stress after I caught up with her. This driver still wasn't happy with the mouth full of abuse and continued to yell abuse with the passenger window down. Didn't get it on video but in future will record all my rides. Only have a 8 gig card good for 45 minutes recording but plan on purchasing a 32 gig card.

Post a vid shortly

The weather is getting cold here, 22F or -6 Celcius. Too bad about that lady, she must have been jelouse because she didn't have a Phasor, yah thats it. Can't wait to see the vid.

I'd say she was shitting her self Rick. The look on her face told it all. -6 starting to get cold. Prior to this encounter the battery was a getting low and I was getting stuffed. But after this encounter adrenaline got me home.

This is my first post. Just wanted to share my Phasor with you guys.
I have had the bike for about 5 weeks now, it took 2 weeks to put together. I have clocked 991 miles so far.
Specs:
Motor: Cromotor
Controller: Lyen 18fet(65A Batt, 100A Phase)
Batteries: 25s4p(20 Turnigy Nano tech 5s 8ah) 3kWh
Top speed: 60.3 mph
Range: more than I can ride in one sitting. I went 100 miles last weekend and used under 2kWh
Brakes: Shimano Saint
Fork: Fox 40
Shock: Fox DHX RC4
Tires: Maxxis Hookworm

Holy shit HD Killer, you got my attention  . Can I see some close ups? Specifically of the cromotor and rear swingarm? Would you mind snapping a close up pic or two the next time you have the side covers off? How about some 2nd person videos of you taking off or maybe on the track?

Rick

Hey did he make a custom swingarm for you?..thought the cromotor needed 150mm but maybe I am thinking of the hubzilla..also 60 mph????...downhill???..also 3kwh in batteries is that the same as 30 amp hours?...oh and the weight of bike?..VERY interesting photos of mine coming soon!
