$115?? Where did you get it for $115??

The only one's I can find are $150 + $40 postage to me in Aus..

Heh, yes, 3m13 mark. Petrol can guy. Nice to see him get in on the action. For those who didn't know, the riding star is Australia's multi-world champion BMX, 4X and DH champion cyclist, Caroline Buchanan. I had the pleasure of sponsoring her girls team last year via my other gig at Laughing Mind - amazing talent, and clearly versatile. Now her opponents know she can kick it in more ways than they knew!

Frock yeah!
Now I dont want to finish off making my short film because it will look totally crap in comparison
Looks like they had a decent budget for effects / stunts with wire work etc. Nice!

I did, trying to sell petrol of all things
That and subtlely putting shit on converted ebikes made me laugh
I was waiting for a hollywood style 50% recharging of the battery when she hit regen but I guess even 1% is pretty good for a few seconds :p

I also saw a 1979 maybe 80 Yamaha IT and a pre 1982 YZ in the movie, old school machines those are. Talked with John a few times via email, haven't met him in person, is he the zombie at the beginning?

What about anyone else in the film, like the guy that hands her the key, and says don't break it? Does he work at the factory perhaps? What about Mr Big behind the desk that says they still have 60 seconds? Does he work at Stealth?

I spotted one or two guys & girls from the factory apart from John but apparently there are actors from Mad Max...not sure who or where.

Cool. I'd love to see some behind the scenes stuff if they care to make it available (even if non publicly listed on youtube)
Presumably they were the stunt guys getting knocked off the bikes rather than those with not-so-hollywood dialogue delivery?
It's common in many vids on youtube and other lower budget productions, you can have the best quality visuals, action and production but as soon as someone opens their mouth most non-professional actors are let down by something in the delivery of their dialogue. Mind you I've heard some cringe worthy performances on the likes of home and away too

I worked on the rest of my tire changing today. I spent a lot more time messing with the front fender than I thought I would need to. These Hook Worms are so small the front fender looked funny way up there all by itself. I had to trick up an upper mount to get it closer to the tire.

It's funny, the rear fender wasn't an issue, it looked ok. I spent a lot of extra time on little things. Whenever I have the rear wheel off I always feel compelled to clean the inside of the swing arm. I've never lubed the freewheel, and it's not easy to do, but I spent about a half hour squeezing grease in the crack around the outside of it. I must have got some in there, because it stopped clicking, and became silent when I turn it.

Hook Worms are pretty Sturdy tires. If you think the stock knobbies are hard to change you better not try these. They have wire beads that don't give much, and they're pretty tight fitting the on the rim. It took about 4 minutes to install one instead of the usual 2 minutes. I even broke one of my little 3 inch long plastic tire levers. Those stock tires didn't come close to doing that.

I still have a little more work to do before I ride it. I'm going to shoot some more grease into the V Boxx, and I didn't like the way the rear brake was making a clicking sound when I turn the wheel. It seems like it's always needing some fettering to get right every time I take the rear wheel off. I also have to measure the circumference and reset the CA.

I do like the look of these little tires though, they're real sneaky looking. They're 3/4 Inch smaller diameter, that's a lot.

Heh, yes, the subtle dig at DIY jobs wasn't lost on me either. Running the bike as low as reasonably possible then activating regen was a smart move in some ways, would give a noticeably higher regen boost than doing it with a higher level of residual charge.

It's certainly lifted the bar in terms of posting up any Stealth vids now! I can't help but think Zombie 1 on the trail looked a lot like Kepler, though I've only met him the once..

There are several accessory side stands in the Ballards catalogue , page 46 , from $69.95
http://www.ballards.cc/catalogue/ I`m sure a bit of ingenuity could make it work .

Two parts of the zombie movie I like best are at 2:04 when she's racing across the field with the motorcycles in hot pursuit. It's funny to see her pedaling ahead of the motorcycles, I really like that.

And also at 2:24 where you see her pedaling her ass off for a few seconds. I'd like to watch about a half hour of that. That's bicycle porn there.

At 0:56 she sneaks up on the zombie without him noticing. I think that's Stealth showing off how silent our bikes are.

That was a fun vid! love the clothes line jump nice!

Rix, I live on Los Angeles. Your near Reno right?

I have a plastic tube on the end of my grease gun. I have this weird compulsion to stick that tube up against the VBoxx ports and start squeezing till grease is up to my arm pits.

Yah, about an hour east of Reno. Mammoth would be about the half way point for a ride. Snow melts off up there by July, except above 10000 feet, that stay there all year round on the north faces.

My V-Boxx is starting to act sort of funky, like the grease is getting dry. Sometimes while not pedaling, the box clicks the same way as if you were rotating the cranks backwards, or pushing the bike backwards. Shifting though the range of gears seems to take care of it temporarily.

I decided I wanted to experiment with gear oil instead of grease. I got a couple of quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic 85w laying around. But first, the box needs to be flushed.

I was pondering what to use as a light oil per the Suntour manual. I was considering WD-40, but I decided on ATF for now.

So, I flipped the bike over, cleaned the drain plug area and removed the drain plug. I put in two full tubes from a stainless steel turkey baster that I picked up at the hardware store. It has a small removable needle on it that fits in the drain port nicely. I sealed the drain port with a small amount of Ultra Black RTV.

I plan on riding it around for a while. In a week, maybe, it will be time to drain it. I'm curious to see what comes out. Hopefully no metal. If all looks good, I'll try out the 85W. The cases might not be sealed very well and it may leak like something from British Leyland. We'll see.

Oh yeah it will def. leak!
I noticed that when I put more grease than manual stated, I always had dirt sticking underneath the gearbox. TV/RIX, was it the same for you?

Yeah I always have grease oozing out around the bottom of the VBoxx. I don't care, as long as grease is oozing out then I know it has some. When the grease stops coming out, that's when I start getting worried lol.

Alex you friend was totally right. These Hook Worms are definitely way better then the Thick Bricks. They stick to the road like glue even in spite of the little tiny width. It's so obvious it didn't even take a mile to decide. If they're as good at not getting flats I'll never go back. These tires want to do easy stoppies. The Thick Bricks would just squall and fuss in protest

The CA setting was 1976. That's small.

me too and on the sides by the crank arms

Yup, those are probably the best Road tyres you can find. They are actually number one choice for most ebikers that are doing your sort of driving.
If you can find double ply:

Then stock up!

I never had an issue with grease leaking out, I only filled it with 120cc of grease, 30cc per hole. One time I put 50cc per hole, it wasn't any smoother than 30cc, but 30cc is noticeably smoother than 20cc per hole.

Does anyone know the thickest gauge spokes that can be put into a stock stealth bomber motor? I know that the 11/12 gauge fits but will a 10 gauge?

Thanks!
