A warranty which ultimately relies on the manufacturer honouring it. The beauty of dealers (from a clients perspective) is they deal with all the admin rubbish to get it over the line. Ordering direct from the factory means you have to send it back yourself/deal with Stealth direct.... Further, if you are not hands on yourself and need someone else to help with maintenance suggestions/complementary products, a good dealer can be very helpful.

Very true Lurkin, but if you don't live near a dealer, like I don't, than there is the option of dealing directly with Stealth, like I have been doing for the past 4 years now. I should add the caveat that some of my first interactions from Stealth was through US Stealth, but even then, everything I had ordered came directly from Stealth in Victoria AU to me, so in my experience, it doesn't matter whether using a dealer or dealing directly with Stealth. And I also want to say I agree with you about dealing with "admin rubbish". Even though Stealth makes is as least painful as possible, having someone else handle the small stuff is nicer.

I contacted stealth two days ago and they are talking with me for a bomber now.
From the location i'm also in contact with US, Calfornia.
They say I can order and gave me stock version and upgraded part prices.

So I ask if i wanna order how, and where?
I hope from germany since that is like a rock-throw away from me.

*Btw im not calling any sites but Stealth mailed me the prices of the 3 bikes they got.
And when I saw those prices i was shocked!! So much cheaper than from a retailers 10,000-12,000 euros.

When they give you the AUS price, do they include shipping and tax costs? In the end the price will probably be very similar.
They gave me euro costs and dont know if i can tell prices on this forum. Btw price was without shipping costs and no taxes
But they said germany and switserland were 2 choices for me. So i geuss they will send a bike from there if i make a deal??

I think you better do not write the price in the forum. Altough Im interested what they told you^^ Could you write me a pm? Just wondering :) -Elias

I dont why it is that hard to write a price tag on a product you potentially interested in. You dont send a bunch of emails to car manufactures so you can get a price.
Anyway, the Bomber is Around 10k the fighter is 8k - stock.

Don't get me wrong, Since its a very expensive product and it has quality on it.
Doesnt mean I want to find/buy it as cheap as possible.

If for example I can get it in EU instead of AUS it will save me 2-3K And I think that is alot of money.
Just doing some research here and there. Don't think that is wrong to do.

This was not adressed to you but to resellers.
Here is a very popular retailer(and I did get pretty good service from them), they list all the prices on the website.

Ohw okay, I though bequase my previous post was about pricing and all.
And dealer locations.
Sorry for that

2-3k might seem a lot... until you consider what can happen if it goes wrong (generally).

Having a local dealer means you can take it back and show them any issues it has and request them to deal with it to find a solution. This could include sending bits back to Stealth if required. This is generally more efficient and easier to do than to communicate with someone in another country. They will be paying staff, rental of a premises, advertising/marketing etc. etc. The resale of the bike is where they clip the ticket.

Do you have time to deal these problems if they arise? will you in the future? who will pay the international freight charges then? is it in the contract or considered by Stealth on a case by case basis? Are you hands on enough to take relevant parts off or will you need to send back the whole bike? Can you assemble it yourself?

Its also usually easier to legally enforce a local warranty contract than an international one.

I'm not trying to put you off - I'm sure you'd have no issues dealing with Stealth direct, but the dealers probably charge a premium for a reason.

Ok to this post of @Lurkin:

Did anyone of you who owns a Stealth bike ever had problem with his bike? Like broken swingarm, electronic defects or something like this??? I don´t think so. I don´t one, but I think the Hub-Ebikes are really stabile and down get broken that fast in my oppinion... (?)

Yeah like Allex said...I suggest reading through this whole thread from the beginning if you have time.
Some of us (like me) have had nearly everything break...others (probably most) haven't had any issues. I stuck it out, dealt with Stealth directly for warranty (lots of $$$ in shipping  ) but in the end I have a nice bike that mostly works well.

Cheers

This is my first uploaded video of my Bomber. It was a test to see what's come out and I think I need to find a better program to edit my video.
Let me know what you think.

Well done!
This kind of terrain is where the hubmotor bikes shine, long streches without to many bumps to save that heavy rear!

Yah Simone, what Allex said. Love the video. Makes me miss Italia, Luca, Alto Pascio. BTW, your music at the beginning, that is about as down home country bumpkin red neck as it gets. Lots of slang, doesn't translate, well "down home" could be close to paisano, that's about it.

I have sooooo much fun on my Bomber!

I think it takes a special kind of person to get a stealth
Thay do have problems but i think the newer models are much better.

Does anyone of you have experience with destroyed batterys, which where close to burning down or something like that? Like some extream fails? Would be interesting..^^ -Thanks for answering my other question. Didn´t even think about that, that such a bike would break down

Even the most expensive items go wrong,
Go to battery section ur find all u need there

Well Stealth contacted me and for ONLY 1500,- euros excluding taxes they will ship to Netherlands.
I really thought they would send a bike from germany or switserland.

To bad :(

I dont know if this question been asked before but can we buy these stealth bikes in kit unbuilt? and build it ourself... maybe can save some money this way.

Short answer is no. Stealth bikes come completely built RTR after mounting the front wheel, handle bars and battery.
