Hey,

I'm interested in EIG cells, but can't find any distributors of the cell. Has anyone had any luck with these cells?

thanks,
brett

Hi Brett,

Yes, I have spoken with EiG about their 20 Ah cells and they are willing to sell direct, but the price break is at 1000 cells. Where are you in the world? I will be planning on buying a stack of cells through EV-Power here in Australia, so if you want to go in on a big order let me know. They can still be shipped overseas once here in Oz, but the price advantages start to disappear.

Chris

EIG has trays and busbars and stuff to build packs with. Look at their site and you can see the packs they make with them, and there are some pics here and there on ES and the web I've seen that show enough to make it look easy to assemble. Kind of like the OSN A123 kit, but with the fastener stuff all as part of each cell tray AFAICT.

i cant' find my list of links, just this one

and this that has a bunch of good pics of the trays and interconnects

Amberwolf's right, they do make their own system for connecting cells. One cell tab is aluminium, so it cannot be soldered.

Interestingly, Mike Yang told me he would only sell the bare cells to me, not the packaging and termination system. I have devised a PCB with brass blocks for terminating them, but it is a bit of a pain. I'm trying to pack 37 kWh into the back of a CRX, so volumetric efficiency is pretty important to me.

good morning guys i want to know how to get these batteries eig why he call and sent emails to eig but never answer

I'd say it's because LG have dominated the market in Korea.
I think they more or less stopped trading.

If they did, they don't have any of EIG's cells. The ones they do have (one NMC and one LTO) aren't the same shape or size or capacity. I also don't see the EIG style casing / etc stuff. (which was versatile, simple, and effective, and probably cheap to make, so I'd expect them to continue keeping them around)

I have only seen use Pax for sale with some cells for puffed and I was scared to buy a pack that was used so hard that some of the cells have been Puff

I guess that makes sense. Capitalized I thought it was a different brand, but I couldn't find it in a search.

Encontraste un distribuidor?
