I did some work and here http://ilbcnu.org/misc_docs/goodman_bms.html is the parts list with quantities and links to the parts to make it easier for you all to order the parts.

Okay, I've completed and tested the BOMs. I did separate text files for quantities 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 channels. I can't sem to be able to attach text files here, so I'll just post the info below. What you do is just copy the appropriate section, not including the title line (i.e. -- just the data lines...), and then paste it into the input area on the "Import BOM" screen on Mouser. Then just click the "Import" button and everything automatically gets added to your shopping cart. If you are going to order parts for multiple boards, the best way is to use the"Project" feature and then import the BOM into a new project. You would then order the whole project and you can enter in a total number of projects to order.

This worked very well and all of the parts for the particular cell count were done automatically with a single cut and paste operation and a couple of mouse clicks. Very nice it was. Appreciate yours also as it nearly fits on a single page for viewing and explaining what the individual parts are as well as linking to Mouser for even more info. Thanks.

i just ordered the mouser parts and i hope it works.

so a check can go in the mouser parts.

a check is pending for the board

Gary, if you send me the files, I can attach them.
Actually, all I need to know is the file extension and I can enable it so anyone can attach them.

Ok
The extension is "EXE"
Just enable that :|

i think that's because of virus protection or software piracy.

if it is a self extracting file then just leaving it as a zip file would be better.

if it is just a set of instructions in text you can post it by copy and paste.

pdf files can be posted too

Oops, that ain't going to happen....

You could set something up on google docs....

https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=writely&passive=true&nui=1&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2F&followup=http%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2F&ltmpl=homepage&rm=false

.

The extension should be ".txt" but I have added the BOM list to the bottom of the http://ilbcnu.org/misc_docs/goodman_bms.html page I created so you can copy the BOM list from there. Hope this helps.

Zip files are allowed, so you could zip the files and attach them that way.

I've attached a zipped Excel file, which I used to create the BOM lists. The fisrt page lets you change the number of channels to anything you want, and see what the total parts cost would be. The second page has the various BOM lists which can be cut/pasted into the Mouser BOM import box. I've replaced the 10uF cap with the one Rick found (Good find, thanks Rick... :) ), which is not only available, but cheaper too.

BTW, "Grandpa", my name is Goodrum, not Goodman, and it is much Richard Fechter's BMS as it is mine.

You guys need to come up with a new name/acronym for this bad-boy.

"The Even Newer 4 to 24-cell Battery Management System" just doesn't roll off the tongue very well........ :D

If you go to: http://docs.google.com/# and upload the saved file from Gary's zip, you can use the online spreadsheet if you don't have Excel... Thanks for this resource Gary!

Yes, you just cut and paste one of the lists into the Mouser BOM Import tool input box, and hit the "Import BOM" button. Mouser will add everything as 25 items into the shopping cart.

message deleted since it caused some hard feelings rather than a "thanks i forgot"

I think you should just ignore your e-mail and the forum for a few days and help everyone learn to be a bit more patient? Expect most of us could use a bit more of that trait anyway. Been where you are before when I made something that caught on bit faster than I anticipated was a pain. Opps did I say that out loud?

i see the boms are listed on http://www.tppacks.com/products.asp?cat=26 now

thanks 8)

Thanks, good advice, for sure. :)

I have the website updated now, and I'm going to now go finish re-doing the instructions. I will enable the boards for sale in a few minutes, but for this first batch of the new design, I am going to have a limit of two boards/orders per person. This is to make sure that everybody can get at least 1, or 2 boards. I have more boards coming by mid-week, so as soon as this first batch sells out, I will remove the limit and let those who want more order however many they want, but these won't ship until about Thursday.

Since I'm still working on the instructions, these will be emailed to those who place orders now.

thanks gary i will be placing my order as soon as the site is updated on my end.
