Evo 800W Electric Scooter to 2.5kW Mod

Hi Allex,
Have you experienced and problem when you use Lyen's controller to the hub motor? I got same wheel like yours but hall sensor & phase wire color seems doesn't match. Did you connect to same color to each other or different combination? Please let me know if you got any tips. Thanks :D

Hey!
No the colors dont match at least not on my stuff.

Here is how I connected it:
Controller to Motor
Green -> Green
Blue -> Yellow
Yellow -> Blue

Good luck!

Nice Build Mod! :)

Hi I'm considering a similar upgrade to the same scooter. I'm concerned about the safety of Lipo's in both storage and charging.

Where you store you scooter, and how to charge your pack? Also, have you had any issues to with your mod?

I store it home, outside or the storage room down under the house. If your are afraid of the lipos, go LifePo4 way.
Charging time depends on how powerful charger you have. I can only get 10A out of my charging system...so 20Ah/10A=around 2 hours charge time.
I actually burned my motor, the 2.5kW was to much You need to hold thw power under 2kW.

Just to confirm, can this motor even handle continuous 2KW?

The don't have this wheel hub in stock anymore.....Looks like a cool cheap set up for light scooter.

No You will melt in eventually. But peaks of 2kW is no problem in short burst
I do not recommend go above 20Amps on 74Volt = 1480W
Need motors? Here ya go!

I am also looking to build a project like this. Do you have any more information on this particular project?
