Reliability too... wasn't the situation that gas was sometimes hard to find? Or the gas motor not very reliable, so the electrics offered an option?

Ferdinand Porsche was 18 when he made these motors.

THATs cool... Hadn't realized he was only 18 at the time...

Reminds me of Earl C.Anthony who motorized this in 1897 when he was 17 years old:

Getting back to the OP, did ya know that Goldenmotors folder is actually the new miracle folder from 3rd Millennium Energy in CA? Seen here:

It it kinda cool that the thing still rolls on its wheels when folded. Not sure other folding designs do this...
