I swapped my red idler with a sprocket from my old derailleur. It's bigger, so more surface area, better tension and way less noise than that irritating red thing.

With adjustable brackets, you don't need the tensioner at all. LightningRods sells brackets, or you could devise your own if you have the capabilities.

I have realized that the controller becomes hot enought to start worry me. I have seen mods where people puts the controller back in the frame, so it would have lot of fresh air. Is there any aluminium premade box to do that? I am not good at metal work...
