I posted the jump link 2 posts up - but you can see pedros bike and the bit where he stacks it on the jump in this trailer hereknoxie said:Ha ha yes I know Jay posted it up last week, when Greg said the jump was about 3 foot I had to go and get the clip off youtube, funnily enough I couldnt find the actual jump clip anywhere or the other hilarious clip where Napolean spots Pedros bike for the first time
in this thread? wow, i totally missed that. and i do read most of what you say because, despite your off-putting personality, you do seem right half the time... just kidding. seriously, i just went back to p117 and didn't see it...Hyena said:haha didn't I post that just last week ?
Ah never mind, I thought I posted the clip but I just checked my post HERE and it was only the napoleon dynamite quote I posted. Go back to ignoring meGCinDC said:in this thread? wow, i totally missed that.Hyena said:haha didn't I post that just last week ?
It's surprisingly hard to get the balance right on these drops. The rear wheel wants to drop right away, so I lean forward but it's very easy to overcompensate and land on the front. So nice to have 7" plunging travel on the front forks, but it still feels like a mess up.Hyena said:You should try yanking the bars just before you go off - popping the front wheel up will probably make it look like a bigger jump although you land harder on the back wheel going that I suppose...
What are you trying to say? Just kidding... Beware they're addictive!adrian_sm said:...They may have just tipped me over the edge, and convinced me to buy a Go Pro, along with Jay's beautiful footage and editing.
Excellent choice! Or the naked, with the handlebar mount. I personally find helmet mounts hard to watch, too much movement, too high from the action, bike looks like a toy. But if you like the footage you've seen, go for it. As hyena mentioned, the display case includes a flat mount wich is easy to modify (drill holes in) for a chest mount or whatever. I got the tripod mount ($8), and a gorilla tripod to attach to anything. I also just threw down for the LCD bacpac, so I can at least see what shots I'm taking. That's another chunk of change, but for how much I use it, hopefully worth it.So far I was thinking of getting the $299.99 HD Helmet HERO and the $19.99 Handlebar Seatpost Mount.

or 20 and built like a crab! that one jump that goes nearly vertical with the landing so close look great for flips. i'm guessing one hard core dude behind that track. he's probably in college now. not the work of your average stoner. :lol:grindz145 said:Wish I was 14 again so I could enjoy it...
yeah, i can't get twixtor to run yet, but it makes smooth looking footage at super slow speeds like this.Hyena said:twixtor was the program I was talking abou deec but I haven't actually got it going yet.
I just shoot in 60 fps then slow it back to 25 fps which basically gives 50% speed smooth slo mo.
negative. but i've got an old bmx that i yanked out of someone's yard trash which may be better suited...Did you take any of the jumps Greg ?
i like this idea a lot. should we start up a fund to ship the dirt and whatever else you need?behind my house and start creating my own ebike jump course
