Have you ever hated your ebike?

i was like you once...

i started at 36v on a 35a crystalyte controller with a 408....
then it wasn't enough
so went to 48v (these were both lithium)

and said F*ck it - i'm going to 72v lithium...

best thing i ever did.... but... make sure you have a torque arm - or a strong framed bike.

now i'm back down to 48v but i'm using a 48a controller and a 504.

Yesterday, coming home from a buddie's place, ran out of juice 6kms from home right before a pretty nasty hill (as in right heel doesn't bend that far). ALL of the wall sockets I tried were not live. took me over an hour to get home, with ~60w assist most of the way. Took 15mg morphine when I got back... Not very pleased.

So today since I had nothing better to do I ripped the bike apart and rebuilt it quite a bit lighter (it was an absurdly massive ~50kg yesterday.) So it's no longer an diy extracycle. Just went out to try it and it feels a whole so much better too, even at ~40kg with rack-top 18ah lead... Yeah also plopped the batteries Doctorbass gave me on the rear rack, hopefully they'll give more then 5 amps before crapping out.
