Having trouble removing bbs stator from shell

I'm currently trying to perform a heat dissipation mod on my bbs02. I got the rotor out but I can't figure out how to remove the copper. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey did you ever figure it out, I've wanted to do this on my bbshd but I was curious if it really did improve the heat dissipation
