I picked up a 48v ebike, it was all complete. The only issue was the key ignition, was busted out and the key holed was drilled out. Dont know why because the bike came with a key. But guess it must been lost or something at one time making the previous owners drill it out or attempt to bypass. So that's my issue is the bike is complete and battery charged, everything is complete but it won't do anything. No lights or power or anything from it. Does anyone know how to bypass the key or wire around the igtion where it will work without the ignition?? Any help would help, thank you in advance!

It's a power switch. You really, really hope you don't get any ignition with an electric bicycle.

So, on the other side of the power switch, how many wires come out?

Also, if it's only the lock that was drilled out, but the switch is still there, perhaps a screwdriver inserted can be turned to engage the switch (that might still be there)? I would make certain the rear wheel is not touching the ground when I try this - the wires might be crossed and various exciting events might occur. Do this outside as well - Lithium-Ion batteries can do the 'ignition' thing if improperly connected and you won't make it outside if that happens. No, you won't, just do it outside.

If the switch was drilled out, you will have either disconnected or shorted wires.

What do you find?

... and oh, boy, was I tempted to reply "you have to pedal it".

Lol, about the pedal thing. But I've tried turning the inside of the key switch with a screw driver. I can get it to turn but no response or nothing. Is there anyway to bypass the keyed switch or short some wires to get it to power up. Also don't know what power switch with how many wires r coming out?

There should be some wires that went to the key switch. Try to take a picture of them.
One wire should go to the battery positive, the other wire is the "ignition" line going to the controller. You need a switch between them. There are other things that can keep the motor from running, like brake switches or wiring faults.
