Help needed PAS

I have replaced a burnt out controller on my small E+Plus bike with a kit Using Controller and display.
I have most of it working including a thumb throttle that the old system didn’t have.
my problem is getting the PAS to do anything.
I have checked what I understand. So it has live and ground at the connector. I see on YouTube that you can test the pulse and that is pulsing.. I tried two old pedal sensors and now have a new one although different coloured wires and connector.
Is there something I am missing in the settings to turn this on?
Thank you.

Is it one piece sensor or sensor with separate disk? With the first, you just need to make sure you mounted the sensor so it spins in the right direction,

With the second, you have to mount the sensor so the ring will spin past it in the right direction, and you also have to mount the ring so the magnet polarity is facing in the right direction. Depends on the sensor, with the simplest ones, first check if it works when pedaling backwards, Then flipping the magnet disk usually corrects it.

Hi guys .
See photos of testing set up .
leaving the displays on the bars while trying to sort out this issue and changing over controllers .
yes I have tried all levels on both controller / display kits .reacts the same no pas.. and no it's not responding pedaling in backwards either . This is so frustrating .. could it be my twist throttle wired incorrectly ?

Thanks for the reply
It’s a separate ring with the magnets. The original is marked for direction and mounted as it should be. As my controller had burnt out I changed the sensor for another that didn’t do anything. I then bought a new one but this had different coloured wires but I think I have this correct. I looked in youtube and it shows Pos Neg and the Pulse wire and with a meter they seem correct.
I wondered if there is something I don’t have set correctly ?
thnks Ken

Hi I have just changed over the wires on the pas plug. So it now black to black yellow to green and brown to red and the pas works but when moving off the motor vibrates and just keeps accelerating and the pas take off is very instant and to be honest to punchy on and off

I mentioned that in your other thread, but the OP of this thread actually made the right swaps already to line up the 5v and ground. His issue appears to possibly be parameter related. Your posting on the OPs thread makes it a bit confusing.

OP, do you have a link to the replacement kit?

I have it thank you.
although the Arrow in my new magnet Ring was correct I had reversed the pickup to fit as I could not get the pedal off And it was neater but wrong. This time when I turned the pedals backwards it worked so I reversed it on its bracket and it now works.
I starts and stop when up to speed a bit harsh but I guess I need to study the setting a bit.
thanks for your help

Thanks you, Kerabo, for your report. Yeah, there are 2 directions to point the sensor and two ways to mount the magnet ring, Four possible combos and only one works, Am glad you figured it out.

As for the way it works, that's likely a controller characteristic. Some are smoother than others. You may just have to get used to it.
