Help powering up Kelly KEB controller

I just bought a Kelly KEB 72601X controller. I understand powering it with the B+ and B- from my battery, but when I plug those in, the LED power light does not turn on.

I read further in the manual (http://kellycontroller.com/mot/downloads/KellyKEBUserManual.pdf) and see on the J2Pin there is:
1. PWR: Controller power supply
2. RTN: Signal return, or power supply ground

So it appears I need to add another power supply, I'm confused by this, I've only used the battery (B+ / B-) as a power supply, how should I be handling these other connections?

Could any Kelly controller owners give me some insight? Thanks.

Well you just need to keep on reading the manual.

Just connect a wire from B+ to the pwr pin with an inline key switch

Thanks eee291. I’m not very good at reading wiring diagrams.

I have a 72v battery, will that not be too much to pass on the the power wire? Or is that fine? I just want to be careful I don’t blow anything.

Update, heard back from Kelly, their response with similar info

“J2 pin1 should be connected to 72V battery positive,through a key switch.”

So I’m good to go.
