i have a little lathe with a switch to change direction of motor. i don't like it. it has a bad haptic feedback, feels cheap and ....
so i'd like to swap that for 2 separate maybe lit push button switches. but must not be activated both at the same time, and they need to cut power to the motor before the other one is engaged.
this is the circuit, and switch SA1 needs to be replaced.
i thought of two momentary push button switched activating one of two relays and that close on activation, but open when the other button is pressed, whereas the other relay is activated. does this sound logical? and can it be done?
any input welcome. the switch installed is 250v 12a.
