I'm considering this Honda Super Cub "news," although there's actually not much new out on the EV-Cub Honda announced. In 2016 Honda estimated production of their EV-Cub would take more than 2 years, but during this time another option has appeared!
If you already own a Honda Super Cub, Shanghai Customs produced a conversion kit that allows you to convert your own - a custom DIY EV Cub, for those comfortable being hands on.
They've been developing their Cub-inspired electric motorcycle for two years now. They offer the eCUB2 or the eCUB conversion kit, and are based in Shanghai.
