A little while ago i ended up blowing up a generic 48v 1000w 26a controller kt48zwsl-lcd.
i was careless and the phase wires touched the controller case and it kinda looks like all the fets popped, most of the damage looked in one area though

I cleaned off the soot and removed all the blown fets. to me it only looks like asside from the blown fets, there was only one section that was seriously damaged. missing a small transistor(?) and a resistor i think.

I ordered a new controller, same model and everything, but the new one says it was updated to 40a also the fets have different numbers on them, my guess is they updated the fets to stronger ones. and they added a second shunt.

the controller still turns on and was trying to move after all the damage, so i figured i would try to rebuild it. my question is where can i get the parts for this(reccomended part supplier), or maybe a schematic for the controller. would it work if i put the 'updated' fets in? the old ones seemed pretty damn hard to find.
Any other useful/interesting mods i can make while im in here? I beefed up the solder traces( you can see in the second picture), but thats all ive done so far.
thanks.

You can copy which parts are needed and where the missing burned off traces went from one of the other two phases, but you'll have to trace out where things go, pin by pin.

You can order just about any part from Mouser or Digikey, but if it's no longer available (like the FETs) you may have to replace all of the ones in that phase with the new ones, or they won't current-share correctly.

If there are significant differences between the new FETs' gate characteristics adn the old ones, it is also possible they might run hotter or cooler than the others, depending on how and when they are turned on by the gate drivers (the other stuff that's burned or burned-looking in that phase).

There are a few threads about "infineon" or "ecrazyman" controllers that have partial schematics that might help you figure out the gate driver parts, if you cant' tell what they are from the remaining two phases (which are identical in design, though possibly not in layout).

jeremy harris drew the schematic for the high side switching transistor circuit for gate drive that is blown away there. pretty sure it is a pnp and the other parts will be the same. someone will have that identical transistor on one of their dead controllers since it is common design. all the infineons.

i think jeremy made those notes in the middle of DrBass's 24 FET infineon build from 2-3 years ago.
