Hello from Norway!

I begin by congratulating for a great forum. Want myself while welcome with my first post.

I have a question regarding the installation of 8Fun BBS-02 48V 750W mid engine in the bottom bracket (BB) on my brand new Giant Talon 27.5 2 LTD Link: Giant Talon 27.5 2

I forgot to check the dimension of the bottom bracket and gauge this to 73 mm (2.87 inch) BBS-02 mid engine is calculated on the bottom brackets that measures 68 mm (2.68 inch) I see that there is someone who has mounted BBS-02 engine 73 mm bottom bracket. How do you solve this? Can anyone give me a description of any images of the technical solution? If I need some parts, so feel free to link to them. I've got a little panicked, because I have long time planned to buy this BBS-02 mid engine, and now it is already ordered.

Another issue is batteries. There are many batteries to choose from. I am slightly confused by all manufacturers. I have plans to buy battery pack from China. Can anyone recommend me a serious supplier from for example AliExpress?

I am sorry for my poor US/English grammar.
Thank you in advance!
Best Regards Paal

Hi Paal,

Here's how to install BBS02 on 73mm BB:

Pretty easy, just need washers.

Concerning the battery, I found Paul from em3ev.com very-very much helpful. Since your bike is a hardtail, you don't have any issues with a space for batteries, I think you can consult with Paul about your needs and the best suited battery.

Hi Abagrizzli!

Sorry for my late response. Thanks for the link and tips about my E-bike. The engine is now in the house, and the installation is almost complete. This is exciting.

Have nice day!

Paul

I just put a BBS02 on a Giant Talon 4 27.5, and I didn't realize that picture also recommend getting longer screws with the washers. The washers or spacers you need are M6 and you will need quite a few. I used 1 spacer and 1 washer on each. After the first ride the rear screw stripped out two of the threads from the motor housing, because it only was a very small amount into the housing. I got two longer M6 screws from the automotive store (measured the depth of the hole first), and that is working so far.
