Basically, I see "spectrum privilege" exists on cable too as the same as "broadcast", instead of the cable being entirely IP based internet it is instead allocated spectrum so you can only watch their media instead of any video via the internet.
But you can start a Twitch Channel. Really good looking women make over $10k/month playing video games for the audience. Why I don't know. But that is what succeeds.
My point is people keep saying the technology is going to do all these things, to which I always respond that the people are doing it, both with what some put on and with what others show up to watch. There's this book which I'd be an 18 year old first semester broadcasting student when the teacher, one of my absolute best, recommended 'The 100 Million Dollar Lunch' to the class, somehow I STILL haven't managed to read it. (ME, not reading something like THAT, can you believe?) The battle for special interests to take away the precious license of a TV station in Boston because they weren't liberal enough. Today you see radio stations change format and fired disc jockeys recreate the station online. A different world, eh?
But getting back to '57 channels and nothings' on,' what good is a '500 channel digital superhighway' if the same content continues to dominate? If a broadcast station offered girls in bikinis playing video games there would be attempts on their license because the FCC allows that, but the ratings could also be very good at the time. The excuse being 'Serving the public,' which is the lip service paid to granting and taking away licenses. (Prove it.)I may have started off in the world with my dead center 'Leanings,' but my adult years have really seen them reinforced from watching the mob assaults on any point of view that isn't their own from the extreme left and right.
Now you can take up online, find an audience, corporate comes looking for YOU. But confirmation bias in still in play, people are looking for what they want, the providers THINK they know what will be profitable, etc. Quality falls off but they stay in the game, etc. I'm not sure how there's some new technology that will offer some important change.
In the U.S.our entire FM radio band used to sit between channels 6 and 7 on television, don't know what other countries worked that way. TV moved to go digital, I believe the old 2-13 spectrum are now phone frequencies. The stations have subcarrier channels would have made me so antsy a few years back. I wanted to go LPTV, short range television wasn't expensive. But more than I could afford. NOW if I could pay for leased access to, say, Channel 7.5 in the LA broadcast market I could reach everywhere Channel 7 does with an excellent picture. Yet what would I REALLY do with it to bring an audience?
There is so much already available. It's just a matter of someone making use of it. Can you really bring the advertisers in the face of the virtue signallers trying to prove themselves by destroying you for no reason?
And the correct information is AVAILABLE, even though we have flying monkeys trying to keep people from learning. These people on the board here are acting out much as most newscasters do, But you can get around it if you WANT TO. IF you don't have fun with the really weird showmanship of Joy Behar, Rachael Maddow, etc., and actually care about the truth. But so many don't care about the truth.
Roman emperor and philosopher Marcus Aurelius said: "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not a truth."
“
The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury.”

Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
Ah, yes, I grew up with Marcus Aurelius, who was NOT murdered by his son that was not evil, just paranoid (With good reason) and incompetent. ('Gladiator' was pure fiction.) You see the last few days as I deal with a particularly egregious flying monkey that was so good and being such a loser. But never letting it affect that I'm such a baaaaad boooooy about being so good.
But the ultimate perspective not truth is in these quotes. One of the major engineer developers of broadcasting some years back would say he was an anarchist with great faith in driving on the same side of the road as everyone else. I've see the pictures of the first day they change the side of the road they drove on in European countries so many decades ago. That wasn't a perspective, it was real. Much was said of the Indian/Hindu culture not being compatible with traffic laws early on, so the guy on the bike could follow his beliefs or he could follow the traffic laws around cars. That's a truth, not an opinion.
All the rest you said comes to what a 20 year old was saying to a bunch of us like 2 years ago. Hard to sum up quickly what he was saying, and it was good. But I said he's talking about people who think they have the freedom to enforce their beliefs on others and it's a violation of their civil rights for you to not yield. And he agreed that was the simplistic sentence. So I told him to read the novel 'Utopia,' which I think is the ultimate delusional journey into believing you're going to Camelot and realizing you're in a Potemkin Village instead, and you, that's right YOU, are the peasant, slave, untouchable in this fantasy of a perfect place for someone other than you. Except all these readers believe they personally would wind up one of the privileged few in Utopia. And that privilege includes that they deserve having you as their slave.

You've known Dauntless far longer than I have and you haven't twigged that s/he is non-binary? Why am I not surprised.
Your capacity for making an even bigger fool of yourself is BOUNDLESS. They've spread this 'Non-binary' nonsense so thin it means nothing at this point. As long as you've posted here under so many names and spread so much of your hate around you know I'm purely the model of the heterosexual the Catholic Church has always intended. Which to you then becomes another target for your beloved hatred.
I suspect it was because the Romans were taking over from their next door neighbors where they decided they wanted none of the Men/Women/Children attitude the Greeks held. Or maybe the Greeks didn't hold it, maybe the Romans were in charge and SAID the Greeks did that way. But it is supposed to be some 200-400 years after Christ that the by then ROMAN Catholic Church took up what we now call the nuclear family as policy. I grew up in one that was a mess, dysfunctional doesn't cover it, then the older brothers and sisters were screwing up multiple marriages. But having my own that worked out right was all I was cut out for. If only the women I've known weren't committed to being such screwballs. But that's probably what you like. . . .
And you have to desperately long to believe in that non-binary nonsense to go along with it, it's such drivel.

I'm sure Don Jr. is counting on that. Unification Party is wanting that they take turns being president.

Conspiracy to import drugs etc is a serious crime and the FBI uses such crimes to put people in jail for life, but conspiracy to mass block freedom of speech is ultimately more serious but most folks don't realise it.
The problem for me is I think I do real well getting around these flying monkeys always trying to prevent free speech. Maybe that's just me. But I certainly would take pleasure in seeing the blockers in jail, I go back to the quote I posted, not wanting to be like those who would like to see me punished for making them failures in their efforts to block free speech. The drugs on the other hand, power brokers don't need to control free speech when everyone is a drug zombie on soma holidays, do they?
