If Biden doesn't get a senate majority and can't make deals for huge tax hikes, there won't be any huge tax hikes. But there's always someone who gives in by getting earmarks or something.

On the other hand there's the prospect of short timer Millard Fillmore running for a full term and maybe, just maybe could have prevented the Civil War. Except his party got cocky and didn't give him the nomination. This before the days of primaries. His replacement lost, his party never elected another president when who knows? Maybe they'd be around over 150 later if they stuck with him.
I just wonder if they're going to let him crash at 10am and take advantage, or if they'll go ahead and bump him off.

Well i'm sure there is plenty of power left in the White House from the current occupants.
I was trying to make a point about Biden not having the Senate with him but if I need to explain.
Lame Duck; Hunter was able to knock out of the air and dog easily ran it down.
If trump loses in the next week or so he will be a lame duck unless you really think he can make a come back in 4 yrs, really.
Biden will not be able to win a second term, mostly his age and he admitted that his mind is not what it was and is getting worse.
I'm not trying to bash Biden, glad he will most likely win but lets be real here. Hopefully he will start undoing all the damage that Trump has done bet it will take more than 8 yrs. Trump pulled out of the Paris accord yesterday and no telling what he will do in the next two months so hang on.
There's so much to unpack in your post, but I'm most curious what part of Steele's dossier you think has been demonstrated to be false? I've only seen parts of it confirmed, over these last four years-- AFAIK nothing in it has been debunked or contradicted. I will admit that not all of it has been confirmed, but that's a result of blocked investigations, and does not make the report a hoax, just partially unverified.Dauntless said:
