I keep having flat tires

Now if only we could come up with tires that didn't wear out....

Wish I could help you/source your problem... but recently had inner tubes constantly leaking. My fix?

Stan's latex was the fastest, cheapest "fix" I've ever used. LBS uses it for the rims on tubeless tire bikes, but so far has worked 100% for me on tubed tires.

Cheers

(valve-removal tool on my list of "Stuff to Get".)

Cycling Weekly just posted a vid:

Knock on Wood,
I used to get Flat Tires then I treated my tires with Stans and haven't had a flat since.

The stuff really works.

until you hit a 2 inch screw... i got screwed this week and not in the good way!!

I put thorn resistant tubes and tire lines on my pedal bike about 3 year ago.
Walked home with a flat back tire today and was very curious to see what happened-
the heavy tube had marks and a leak right where the edge of the liner was- this was not across the tire where the liner overlaps, but at circumference and not all the way around.
My evaluation is the plastic liner caused a concentration of stress on the tube (where possibly a light tube deals with the stress better. I put a standard tube back in with the liner and will get some slime.
I still like the heavy tubes, just without liners.
Just wanted to give a heads up.

As a post script- today I pulled the other tire off and inspected the heavy tube to find fretting along where the edge of the liner went- so this confirms that the tube has a concentration of stress there- I pulled the liner out.

Same problem on both wheels could be tires picking up something that you do not see or feel. Try going around the inside of the tire and rim with a cotton ball to see if it snags on anything.
Great idea, I usually rub my finger round the inside of the tyre and when it starts bleeding I know I have found the problem
Not had a puncture in 800 miles since I fitted Marathon Plus tyres.
