I picked up this compact ride for work and realized it was more fun off-road than my bigger bike.

So I decided I'd try upgrading my bigger bike and implanting it's internals onto this smaller bike. Both batteries are in-frame thus a necessary part of the system. I bought some V6 Phaserunner_L10s from Grin and a G62_190 to switch the existing Bafang 750W into this bike. I bought every component, wire and connector that seemed needed and still hit a brick wall with Phaserunner's software suite, (which is not so straight forward for non-regenerative hubs). While waiting for parts I switched bars, bought a proper air shock for the rear and wrapped some 5" Grzlys around these 4" imports. (No chrome on the continent?) Had to shave the fork of about 20mm to make them fit. Thus far tests show I've lost a few miles overall with these tires. I'm hoping to get a second battery input once figuring out the main components. So here it is with make-up on, guts hangin out and rear painted on..

Now I'm crawling through the Phaserunner Suite researching every input because the presets don't pertain so I don't know what I can trust. This is my second build but first time messing with the electronics. I was hoping for better torque on hills and similar speed but from what I'm reading, moving my 26" hub to a 20" rim may not have been the solution I'd hoped for. I'm gleaning that I should have used a motor dedicated to smaller rims (drat!). Will post when I find out. Any help with that PR suite's need for unused regen numbers would be appreciated and help accelerate my completion.

You'll only get similar speed if you increase the voltage or use flux weakening :)
You should be seeing better torque, what are your battery/phase amp settings?

This is my Coswheel M20 battery, with parameters matching the Aventon battery the motor to be implanted came with.

and with the old controller's limits maybe you can guesstimate? I've been forced to use AI for much of these equations where needed.

The original Coswheel motor this was feeding was also a 750W but with roughly 25nm less torque if that helps (you help me =).

Old motor feels like it's on a new bike after raising Max Power Limit to 1400W, Max Phase Current to 67A and lowering Ramp Up Torque to 150ms. I may restore ramp up to 200 and raise the first two limits a bit. I'm worried about keeping the controller inside because of heat come summer but this is my wet bike and I have little faith in my XT connector. Slides out too easily. Finally got everything working and took it out in the rain without fenders, got swamped, had a blast. I'm excited to see what the new motor does in the other bike.
