I'm getting this controller for my 24v bike.

My motor is a 250 watt MY1018 brushed geared motor. There isn't much info about this controller but there are many identical ones on eBay, with minimal information. Is it any good? Should my controller be rated for higher wattage than my motor? I'm thinking like hill climbing or something may cause extra current draw so ti would need to be more than 250 watts. Will it work? I already ordered it, not thinking much!

If you have a brushed motor then this brushed controller will work. If you're going to be climbing hills, you would want a controller rated for more however then you may risk overheating your motor more easily.

Also, this controller may say 250w but you can hook up a wattmeter with this running to see what it really outputs. (a chinese kit 750w rated brushless controller that i had once did 1400 watts peak)

Moved since it's not a review.
