You're a an ignorant retard, you know that?
You must have a French origin... acting something like those in Renault.
Nope, not french, just a smartass american. Doesn't change the fact that you're still ignorant.

I don't think you realize, you're still just a "kid playing in the garage"......
... of IBM?
I've worked for GE, whats your point?

which are much more similar to AC than a brushed motor.
... and use magnets.
Yes, so what. They're both 3-phase designs without brushes. Your argument was that these were all DC motors, they're not.
frodus said:
Induction motors CAN BE cheap,
... not CAN... ARE is the right expression.
I've seen some pretty expensive liquid cooled ACIM's designed for high reliability, efficiency and low weight..... Its not ALWAYS true. That was my point, but I guessed you missed it again.
frodus said:
I don't think you even know the difference between BLDC and a PMDC motor.
hmmmmm....
Yeah, didn't think so. Google is your friend.

11 total posts and no one has ever heard of you.
... and your posts made you famous?
Yup.....Lets just say, in the EV world, I'm a bit of a household name. Look me up.

scale me from 0-100?
stupid: maybe a 20. You seem intelligent, but you're like a 150 on the ignorant scale.
frodus said:
its just 6 FET's on a board with some very obious mistakes in design.
obvious!
Yeah, nothing special.

You step the frequency, rather than have a smooth transition of the throttle,
If you were a bit smart, you would have figured that it can't be done with that kind of uC.
And why is that?
Didn't read the application guide?

which just goes to show your lack of programming skill.
if you do it I'm gonna give you a Nobel Prize!
Already did it in college. Do you need my address for the award?

You picked a heavy ass motor, used Lead acid
The whole conversion is made with $500? How much does your costs?
much more than that, but that was never my point. My point was that you're wrong about your assumptions on this forum.
frodus said:
and look like 99% of the other conversion projects out there.
I doubt that!
Then you haven't spent much time researching.

Its unoriginal. Its ugly.
I think you wear wrong glasses or have mistaken your morning pills.
I hate scooters, and that one is ugly. Sorry, my opinion, if you don't like it, "don't let the door hit'ya where the good lord split'ya".
frodus said:
Just because you got picked up on hackaday doesn't mean you're a god........
... who said I am?
Fine, then stop acting like it.
frodus said:
That ACIM that was posted earlier, is in my motorcycle right now.
are you comparing yourself to an idiot?!
Wow, you're completely stupid. I take back what I said, you're a 150 on the stupid scale too. I never argued that ACIM's were bad, just stating that I'm using one. You were arguing about DC motors being bad.... we were saying that MOST of the builds here are BLDC motors. I was pointing out that your assuming a lot, acting like an arrogant jerk, insulting people and you've really done nothing impressive. You completely missed my point.

... and?!
Just giving you my background, so you know I'm not just some dude with a voltmeter and battery.
Yeah, robots with VFD's, ACIM's, Servos in them. Pretty damn relivant to this conversation.

based on dedicated motor control digital processors
I don't like them... I want to "tell" it what to do!
do more research, you CAN tell them what to do, run your own code, but they have all of the 3-phase stuff done for you. All that code for vectors and current limiting, etc are all built in. You plug in the motor parameters, hook it to the power stage and away she goes.
Jeremy Harris said:
dedicated three phase timing logic built in.
... that can be replaced with a code that costs nothing?
that takes a while to develop reliable and efficient code and your time has to be worth something, right? and the processors don't cost much more than a normal uC.

All you seem to want to do is piss everyone here off
... it has effect, doesn't it.
Yeah, as you're looking for an investor, he'll do a search on the project, you, your buddy and see how much of a prick you are. It hurts no one but yourself. Way to go Vasko Ackovski. Good work!
