Hi am planing to build my first ebike with the cyclone 1680w kit with the kelly controller and I am wondering if It would be possible to put on a speed limiter.

This is the kit I am planing to buy: http://www.eclipsebikes.com/chainwheel-bottom-bracket-1680-watt-ebike-p-1073.html

Or does anybody know if the cyclone kit uses a 5v hall sensor throttle.

Thanks for answers :D

The controller is programmable via software
It have a motor speed limiter function, don't know if is this you want

Also don't forget to order the second bearing if the BB in your bike is 73mm

I don't think that is exactly what i need. Because I need to have a mechanical switch for speed limiting on/off or you could say a off road/on road switch.
I have tried to measure the BB but i don't know how to measure. :?
But i found this information about my bike: http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?year=2009&brand=Scott&model=Voltage+YZ+35 according to this description my bike has a 68mm BB. :)

And Again thanks for your replay :D

Does any body know what FG stands for at 6 Blue=FG? See schema down below.

As always Thanks for answers :)

Well I speed limiter is tta;y independant to a power liniter.

you can still have the 1680 watt power functin but limit the speed to what ever your countries road e-bike speed limit is.

I don't know anything about Kelly controllers but I do know that I can pull 2000w going up hill at less than 16 mph on a steep hill.

so maybe yo really want a speed limit function enabled somehow..can a Cycle analyst be interfaced with these controllers? I don't know but that would be a way.

Here is a thought...use a Cycle Analyst in Stand alone mode, with the throttle connected to the CA and NOT the controller. So you feed throttle into the CA and run the speed limts from there. The CA then send out a throttle signal to the controller. Get a V3 Ca and you will then have the Road/off Road switch via the CA.

Wow the Cycle Analyst sounds great but it was very expensive. :(
But now I know what to do now I will be getting the kit but unfortunately the dealer I want to buy it from haven't got everything in stock, they said to me that they should have got everything in stock at the end of November.
First of all I will be testing the speed limiter with the potentiometer, if that don't work out well then I will try with the Cycle Analyst.

I believe it will work because I did find out that the Kelly controller throttle is a 5v hall sensor throttle.
And i did find out what the cables on the Golden Motor throttle was see the picture down below.

If I wire the Kelly throttle the same way it should work

Other wise I believe the Cycle Analyst should work because I have sen other people with Cyclone(Kelly) and CA :)
