Hi there.
Another totally newb question.
I got the MAC 7T from Cellman. I would like the CA v3 but they are not available.
If I am very conservative with the throttle, can I hook up the setup to my bike and install the CA when it gets available?

I have an Infeneon 40 amp controller with the 3077 fets running 12s lipo.

Can the setup even run without a CA?

Thanks

You can definitely use it without the CA. CA is only going to act as a gauge. 2 things to consider:

12S LiPo = 44.4V, about 50V Hot off the charger. IF the LVC of the controller is set for a 36V battery, it will not sufficiently cut before possible damage to the battery.

If the LVC is set for a 48V battery, you will be safer. Either way, if you have a voltmeter, that will definitely help.

throttle.jpgThanks.
So I just hooked everything up but I am confused?
The motor did not start but I am assuming it was because of LVC since I was running a 6S setup for a test.

I wanted a half twist and a thumb throttle just to see which one I would prefer and the connections are different?
I have attached a photo and numbered 1 to 4. Can someone tell me what needs to be connected to the controller for it to work and how to activate it please.

Many thanks to all

I have just received my kit from cellman last week excactly like yours (but with a 16T front motor and 39volt A123Pack).

I also got the extra thumb controller too and mine was not working until I connected the on/off switch (no 1 in your pic, red switch up away from green button for on, I assume the green button is for regen).

All the plugs are idiot proof in that you can't plug anything in wrong. The switch labled in chinese is a three speed switch, which I think is not needed (i've got mine under the seat at the moment).

Failing that you might have LVC issue but you could likely change that by reprogramming the controller, but I've not attempted this yet myself.

Many thanks,
I got it working but got scared for a while.
I did not plug the 3 position and the controller was heating up a bit

Now everything is GOOOOODDDDDD!!!!!

Hello

I have bought almost the same motor and kit, a 6T but the rest is the same + a PAS.

The throttle works, but I dont really understand the function of the three-switch or how to activate/deactivate the cruise control.

I use the thumb throttle with a red switch, what is the function of the switch? I think it is for the cruise control, sometimes it holds speed or power, I am not sure whatever... (I feel a bit stupid about these questions)

Can anyone explain how it is intended to work?

/Lars
