Kelly controller phase wire burned after 2 months of use

My kelly controller phase wire is burned but the controller has funktion as normal.
Its the 6kw crystalyte ebike version.

And i have battery + on the aluminium case from this controller, is this normal?

First i smelled melted plastic and as i arrived home i had seen this:




What could have made this damage?
Can i get guarantee from kelly controlls?

can you open the casing and look inside? is it a bad solder joint on that lug?

i have no idea about warranties. but you said you have Vcc on the case. it is no longer working right so you cannot use it this way, and the lug looks like it is where the heat came from too since it is all black so i figured you had a bad solder joint there but it looks like you only crimped it.

That looks like resistance heating. Poor connection, bolt not tight enough, oxidation, etc. Or poor crimping of the wire in the terminal, basically the same thing.
