If you have any problems for King-Meter LED/LCD Display or PAS Sensor, feel free to comment here and I'd like to provide some basic help.

No. King-Meter only provide SW. For other similar display, pleaes kindly tell from us. Even some is really same as our outlooking.

Hi Cory,

Would you please provide the pin-outs for the display's round HIGO connection? Making sure to specify male or female side.

Can this display be bypassed by jumping the RED and BLUE display wires?

Can you verify that the display can handle up to 72 volts?

Thank you,
T.C.

It's totally different for each display. And even for same outlooking type, the pins defination is different for different project. And sorry it can not use for 72v.

Hi Cory, I have the KM-529 LCD as standard on my bike. I was wondering what the detailed stats of this unit was. Anything to be aware of while upgrading other components etc. If I wanted to switch to one of your larger color displays would it be a simple plug and play from the old display to new?

How about 52 volt nominal? (58.8volts max...)
Yes, some display is ok for 52V, usually it's for US marketing I think.

Yes, it's possible to change from KM529 into our TFT display. I will confirm more tech details with you before changing.

My bike's king meter km529 is not working after rain and i am also not able to find new one in Belgium. Is it possible to replace km529 with any other meter?

Controller on my bike:

A better way is to replace a new KM529 lcd display with exactly the SAME parameters. Because the firmware is different, if you can not confirm your new meter with the same protocol, then an Error code comes.

Cory, I am troubleshooting an x-treme bike with King-Meter KM6S, bike is hardly used and is on PAS 5 setting, however the PAS assist is intermittent on all levels of assist, so I assume I need to tweak some of the other PAS settings? No damage to the bike or the PAS sensor.

Throttle works fine

thanks in advance.

Hi Cory,
KM5S-R Display shows PAS "0" and does not change when "UP" & "DOWN" buttons are pressed. I can toggle through the various display functions but they do not show any change relating to movement. The only function that shows any variation is ride time which begins when display is powered on. When trying to activate the light , the icon appears on display briefly without the lights turning on. There is no drive assist from motor. Does this information offer any indication as to where the problem in my set up might be or ......
Thank you

Is this from this thread?

If so, the most likely thing is that the display or controller is damaged from one or more of the previous issues, and one or both are nonfunctional in important ways (for instance, the controller MCU could be damaged) or they cannot communicate with each other due to electrical damage or connector / wiring damage.

Or, if during repair process the display and/or controller were replaced with different versions or models than were present before, they probably aren't compatible with each other and can't understand the communications sent back and forth.

I also copied this post and a quote of yours to that thread since that's the best place to keep troubleshooting the system (since that is where all the other info about it is located).

I suggest you do an A/B testing to figure out which component is wrong. And from my point, what I can support is a new display is possible to provide. By the way, those numbers on the back of your display is important for the factory tracking more technical data, so please keep them in case you need it.

Hi Cory. I have a King Meter 5S LCD. It has worked perfectly for many years but now has a problem where the display unexpectedly shows 000 Watts during a ride. If i keep riding and turn the meter off and then on again, works okay and all is good. It does this at unregular intervals. Sometimes it will work okay for an hour or more then suddenly I have no power and the Watt indcator is 000. It seems to occur at all PAS levels.
Is this a setting problem or do I need a new meter. I have checked all connections, cleaned and resealed them.
Kind regards Tony (New Zealand)

It was just some random spam, that already got deleted.

I'd suspect your issue is more likely the controller or battery that is dying, and not the display.

Thanks for the quick reply aae34. No, the battery still gives me 60-80km's. I had it professionally repacked about a year ago,
Is Corey no longer on the forum?

I had that same problem with a KT controller and display. It turned out that the main battery connector had some rust on it.

Thank you. I hadn't thought to check for rust. I did give them all a quick spray with contact cleaner. I'll do that again and have a look at them using a torch. Appreciate the advice.
Best regards from a very stormy (atmospheric river here today) New Zealand.
