Yes that was peak, starting amps and stuff, I can hold 20mph sometimes with as little as 300W, its depends on the conditions, I always peddle as well unless I am filming as my legs get in the way.

Fit a bigger crank on the front, I dropped the front mech also as I have no need to use the other rings, I find above about 25mph peddling upsets it a little so I dont bother too much.

I've decided to go for a sturmey 8 speed in the rear hub to replace the derailler the sprocket is attached to disk brake mounts so I won't have a problem.The rear mech will be left on and the front derailler for when I take the batteries off and decide to have some fun like in D's video of him pulling rear wheel skid turns,also if I go for a ride with my wife she never goes faster than 9 mph.
after I have changed to the sturmey I will have a top gear of 138 inch and a bottom gear of 24 inch, the KMX comes with a top of 95 and a bottom of 19. This will really piss off the car drivers.
