So yeah, I understand there must be *some* "overhead" in terms of energy consumption, but maybe call this "ebike-related".

The traditional way of generating is through the rotation of the tire. However, this results in high resistance and low generation efficiency because of the loss of energy due to friction between the tire and the ground.
In order to reduce the resistance, we used the innovative two- speed linkage which means resistance is proportional to the power efficiency. As of the current design, when riding faster than 10 km / h, the generator can reach an efficient power output, and when the speed reaches 20 km / h, it can achieve the maximum power output.
We handed out some engineering samples for riders to test. According to their feedback, they barely experienced any resistance.
