Kona Stinky Six 2009 Conversion

I got some new pictures of the bike with the battery attacked on my backpack after the upgrade i did to 9x6s1p 20c 5Ah Zippy's 75Volts15Amp Hours.

Also i manage to get some data out of the discharge of the pack.

When i charge the battery pack at 4.1(4.08 real voltage) i can draw a max of 10Ah to 11Ah with the regen before the pack gets to 66Volts 22Volts per pack and all cells at 3.666.
When i charge to 4.2 (4.15 really voltage) i can draw a max of 12Ah to 13Ah with the regen before the pack gets to 66Volts again.

Stupid zippy batteries i hear that Turnigy deliver there Ah as they should.

Ok i got carried away to the point now.

The next thing i want to do to the bike is : Remove the FalconEV bag and the rear suspension.Replace the FalconEV with a very small triangle bag just for the cables and upgrade the rear suspension to something with a little more travel.I want the bike to look just like a regular downhill , freeride bike and make it even more stealthy than it is now.

I think the battery backpack is the way to go. I have a GNG mid-drive on my Stinky, and people rarely notice it unless they take a long look at my bike. I think it takes them a while to get past the forks and huge tires.

^ This guy's Stink-E is about as stealthy as you can get even with frame mounted batteries.

With what i want to do and the capacity i need in Ah's the triangle is just not big to fit my batteries.I used a 10Ah pack in the frame triangle but it was a pure frustration. Now with the new pack there are times that i stop my ride because i am tiered or any other reason but not due to the luck of battery juice.

Skyungjae nice build. Its a nice commuter you got there.Unfortunately this setup will not work for me just because i have a hell lot of batteries to carry with me and only a 17" frame to fit them. Also i use the bike for off road fun only i have another commuter for the city and i consume insane amounts of wattage due to the terrain i ride.Think that i run on the road for 10% and off road 90% and the trails are all a huge climb to get to them.

Today i was working on the bike i removed the FalconEV bag , installed the controller to a better location so he remains clean while i am riding on the trail and installed a smaller bag so the bike can be more stealthy and clean.

I am planning to replace this thing with something that will fit to the colors of the bike itself.I also did a little Smalto paint repairs to the bike as well.My back and leg is hurting now so lets take some pictures of the bike as it is now :D

I might sell the FalconEV bag due now that i might now need it so if anyone wants it send a pm and we might work something out

T configuration as in hT3525?

I'm excited to try mine on 100v now. I was only expecting 65kph. That ebikes.CA/simulator is very reserved with its stats I think.

My test was without load. There are so many factors that even a simulator can't simulate 100% not that the ebike.ca is a bad simulator at all.
You might need to make some tweaks to your motor if you decide to go 100v you know that :) But yea RPM = Volts * amps so as the larger the voltage the faster you go.

To my bicycle its close to +1 km/hour per volt.In 75volts i go 60km/hour in 85volts 70km/hour so in theory i should go close to 95km/hour with a pack at 100v.Not bad for a T motor.

Just to clarify, your talking about no load ie left wheel off ground?
That's useful info but I thought you meant riding on flat , no wind.
What's your top speed riding with 85v?

Its probably my bad English.I only did the no load test but i think what the CA indicated it will be there in the road. When i do this with my regular pack i get 60km with no load and 55km with load sometimes i even get 60km's so the numbers are quite close.I am sure that with the 85Volt pack i can go 70 or 65 for sure.My issue is that the pack is small in Ah's due to the fact that i test some Samsung cells.

So its more like the test of a test that i tested :p

A friend with HS motor not HT and 85Volts gets 90 to 95 km/hour.

Finally my new camera arrived after the usual ebay waiting. Here is the first video i recorded on it.Its a fast riding inside the city with full power.

Hope you enjoy my new creation

Nice video. I big difference in quality from my own GoPro 1. Much clearer some how...

I must say that I am amazed by your video, and the many ones like it here on the forum.
Cruising around in high speeds in busy traffic, zigzaging between cars, lorrys and mopeds. I just cant believe that you actually survive that, one false move and you become a hood ornament on someones car and your bike turns to scrap...

By God, be careful...

Yes the difference is big if you compare it with the first GoPro.Think that the original raw video was 2GB MP4 file and after 5 minutes of cutting and converting was close to 500 mb so imagine the 1.4 GB of quality that where cut there in order to upload the video !!!!

You are right about that kind of driving but i know this roads really well and even if it looks that i drive careless i take a lot of steps so even if i crash it should be ok.
You should see me prepare for a ride like that i am like a commando :p Protection Gear Mates Is The A and Ω in cycling , motorcycling ect ect.

By the way man i don't believe that riding in the city is that dangerous if you comparison it with off road crashes.Driving in the city is just tricky if you ask me just because you feel safer and its possible to make a mistake easier. But when i ride to the dangerous trails i prepare myself mentally trying to wear my glasses and all my gear trying to be relaxed and focused all the time.Checking the bicycle before going out and everything.

I like adrenaline a lot but i like more to have great fun without hurting myself just because there are other nice things in life that you can enjoy as well.
