Yeah, we got pretty wet starting sometime before dawn, soaked in good enough that I had a bit of trouble getting SB Cruiser thru the yard's muddy non-grass areas to get to the gate to leave for work. Left some inch-deep tire tracks in the best parts, and sunk another inch+ in t he wrost parts, but even with the fairly smooth street tires (shinko sr714 2.5x16) on the mtoro wheels, it had *just* enough traction to keep crawling thru and pushing me forward without spinning out the wheels, being very careful with the throttle.Even Amberwolf is getting some rain....
The streets were just wet, a few puddles, nothing liek the inches-deep flooding we get with summer storms, and unlike yesterday when it was dry but very very windy and all the drivers had had their brains blown out of their skulls by it*** there was only one complete moron on my route today.
Drizzled on and off all day long, think it's over now though, until tuesday when they predict another 1/2" or less.
*** you know that thing where you're on the road, and a driveway is a little ways further down the road, and a car sudeenly guns the engine screams past you and swerves across your path into that driveway so close you barely have time to brake (or maybe don't and have to swerve left around their back end as they pass in front of you?
Well, that happened FIVE TIMES on my way home from work yesterday.... Then while I waited in a driveway until traffic passed so I could cross a street, two different morons within half a minute of each other accelerated into the back of a temporary traffic jam (all cars completely stopped) with predictable results.
Today, when it *was* rainy, cloudy and gloomy daytime, wet roads, there werent' any of those things happening (when they usually would since rain seems to wash all sense out of drivers here), the only moron was a smallish black car that seemed to ahve been modified to have separate front and rear brake control that squealed past me as I waited on one back side street to get onto another, roaring their engine and rear wheels at high power, but braking at the front wheels and shimmying the back around then starting to fishtail. They only stopped that when they came really close to whacking some parked cars as they approached another car waiting to turn at the intersection, then they impatiently sat their gunning their engine until the ohter car finally got the chance to get onto the bigger street. As I approached they had already then screamed out inot the main street and were doing fishtailing donuts while other traffic was coming, and they lost control and almost hit cars parked there, before they screamed off down that street at what looked and sounded like full throttle.
