Last hope-merida 800 espresso problem

Hi all,

i know im new and starting a fresh topic but i googled for 3 months and i cant find whats wrong with my ebike.
I bought it with dead battery and no display. i found a e6010 new battery with charger for 200pounds(bargin).
And bought a 6010 display.

Battery powers and charges fine, first mistake was the display, the holder says e6000 so i bought the wrong one.
She wouldn't power on.
bought 2 6010 so i have 2 now. one new one used. i thought the used one was dead.

Then i tested it with 2 e6000 displays and it woudnt power again.

I measured the pins on the display holder and i have 8v. battery turns on fine.

checked the brakes, reseted the battery with 10sec, checked the cables. Only thing left is to open the engine and check the contacts inside.

Bike is like new, i opened the cover of the engine and it was never opened.


The nearest service is 1000km away. i dont know what is wrong and what to try next.

Many of us won't know what an e6010 is..
I guess that's why you don't get any answers.

If you're unlucky it's the integrated controller that is broken. Do you get any data on the display at all? What is the battery voltage now?

8V is not what i would expect at the display, either full battery voltage or 5V or 3.3V (electronics logic levels)

If it should be full battery voltage then something is certainly wrong. You could ask a dealer or shimano support.
